Renew and upgrade your service

Manual and automatic renewal, upgrade/downgrade process, proration and IP preservation.

Service renewal

Manual renewal

  1. Log in to the client area: billing.baires.host
  2. Go to Billing → My Invoices
  3. Find the pending invoice for your service
  4. Click Pay and choose your payment method

Invoices are generated automatically days before expiration.

Automatic renewal

To avoid worrying about expirations:

  1. Go to Billing → Payment Methods
  2. Add a credit/debit card
  3. Set it as default payment method
  4. Enable Auto-pay in the service settings

The system charges automatically when the invoice is generated.

What happens if I don't renew on time?

  • Day 1-3 after expiration: Service stays active, you receive reminders
  • Day 4-7: Service is suspended (your data is preserved)
  • Day 14+: Service may be terminated and data deleted

Service upgrade

Upgrade process

  1. Go to Services → Your active service
  2. Click Upgrade/Downgrade
  3. Choose the new plan
  4. The system calculates proration (you only pay the difference for remaining days)
  5. Confirm and pay

What is preserved during upgrade?

  • Your IP address is maintained
  • Your data and configurations are preserved
  • Service is not interrupted (in most cases)
  • Only additional resources are added

Downgrade

The process is similar to upgrade:

  1. Choose a smaller plan
  2. Verify your current usage doesn't exceed the new plan's resources
  3. Remaining credit is applied to future invoices

When to upgrade

Consider an upgrade when:

  • CPU usage exceeds 70% consistently
  • RAM is constantly above 80%
  • Disk is at 85% or more
  • Your application responds slowly due to lack of resources

Check metrics from your VPS management panel.

Recommendations

  • Enable automatic renewal to avoid suspensions
  • Monitor resources before they run out
  • Upgrades are immediate; downgrades may require reducing usage first
  • If you need a custom plan, contact sales
